Poem + Painting 05
I’m going to write about it, it’s the only way to heal.
I’ll put it all in words- I’ll tell you what I feel.
To speak my truth will be gristly, and I cannot take it back.
I hope that you will listen, and not give me too much flack.
My mind and heart are open.
Open to changing winds.
I do not, will not, cannot ruminate longer on how things might have been.
If you had taken the time to put a heart at ease,
to explain where you were coming from, instead of acting as you pleased…
Once I say the words, believe me they are coming loud.
I will hold my head a little higher, because I am proud.

Poem + painting 04
Just because you are beautiful does not mean that you won’t find rejection.
Just because you are talented does not mean that you will not be rejected.
Embrace rejection as the discovery; a new brick has been found to build your palace of success and achievement.
Live an examined life, and yours will be the golden existence.

The Light
The light is within my soul; feeding everything.
Each blink from my eye, accepts a new ray, facet of warmth.
Being here draped in sun,
Moonlight cannot compare.
To have and hold such sanctity, is something so very rare.
Open to an eclipse of past failure.
An avenue of regrets,
The light illuminates all worry of this.
Banishing human feelings of debt.

Poem plus painting 02
Giving time to others is a part of forgiveness.
Forgiveness is to move on from hurt and failures that have occurred.
Is it truly possible to forgive, but not forget?
Instinct dictates that these two concepts are inextricably linked.
One cannot be without the other.
In the strictest terms, once forgiveness is granted, things should return to normal.
As normal as the situation was, prior to the “default”.
But I ask in earnest….
WHO DOES THAT?

Abstract Painting with poem
I saw something the other night
It was sitting in my chair.
Several feet away from the hearth,
I swore that there was nothing there.
A figure, like a body.
A person without a face.
A drawn expression of fear,
from out my heart did race.
I could not move when first sight was made.
I could not change my place.
There the figure sat, unmoved.
Terrifying my inner space.

Vibrant abstract landscape

Welcome!
During this season I have been experimenting with vibrant colours, and organizing these colours into intriguing abstract landscapes. I love the pop of colour, and the flowing lines that blend into one another. All of these images have been made in acrylic on watercolour paper. This allows me to continue experimenting without the guilt of piling up canvases in my storage. Hopefully soon, I will organize my operation enough to post a sale.
Thanks for stopping by,
Lillybochic
