The colour bloom series has been quite the departure from the earlier work where I mainly used any and every colour I could get my hands on. In this new series I took more care to select the composition prior to each painting session. The result is a series that has its wild moments, but still has elements of logic and sense. Sounds a lot like me.
I think there is a meaning behind today’s date?
I’m not overly superstitious…I actually don’t think there is a word to properly describe my wacky ideas (ha ha)
Getting closer to the end of the year. Do you think I will be able to finish everything I set out to do? Will you? I hope so too.
My recent work is a continuation of the series I had featured here in September 2024.
I notice that when I create paintings, I never truly fall in love with them until many weeks or months later. Only after time has passed will I feel a strong connection.
