It has taken me ages to complete this project. What started as a lofty idea to create a book of love poems has evolved over time to become a book of poems focusing on a less often discussed emotion known as vengeance.
When I was younger, I wrote much of my poetry as an attempt to understand the complex feelings I experienced in the corporate world, as well as in my personal life. Although I have moved on from many of these feelings, and brought myself upward to higher vibrations of love and understanding; this collection is proof that I was not always the kindest, or most patient person.
In my 20s I wrote these poems without knowing exactly how or where they could fit, but I believe I have developed a knack for writing searing and devastating prose toward old relationships. In many of these situations, I never had the power to say how I felt, and so writing it down became the best way for me to heal.
Today I continue the healing by releasing this book of poems, with hopefully many more collections to come.

Thank you, and happy new year!

My latest work is a continuation of my work mixing abstract colourful backgrounds and figures like faces, and bodies in the foreground.
The colour palate used was pink and blue, which at times evolved into variations of purple.
In this piece I see many messages. The hearts are my favorite!

Here we have a 12 x 12 inch canvas. The figure is of a black female that I had been working with in other pieces. I really enjoyed the seriousness of the pose. She seems to look at the observer with a solemn expression. Is she worried? Upset? I like the openness of the possibilities.
The colours are gold, green and of course blue with its associated hues. The acrylic pouring techniques are blended with metalics to provide a mix of concrete figurative style and an abstract background experimenting with colour.
