I wanted to show that there is a desire and ultimate necessity in being heard. The existence of an echo confirms that you have been heard, even if you had the only ears around.
My latest 10 x 10 inch// 25 x 25 cm acrylic on canvas continues my study of singular-focused images against black negative space. This piece features a heavily textured triangle shape that is entirely golden. Gold light I took photos of in the light, and so the shine of the black acrylic paint allows the viewer to also see raised texture floating in the blackness. I am so excited to post photos of my latest work. I have continued my emerging style of blending acrylic colours on handmade canvas. I know that mellow blues and greens are more popular with my customers, but I am often drawn toward bright orange and neon colours. I will likely have fewer opportunities to experiment with various mediums- so my work will focus on expanding this emerging style.
